From Hotel Stadt Hameln to Schwöbber Castle it is – depending on the route – between 10 or 15 km. By bike you can reach the castle in about 45 minutes via the L 432 and the B1. By car you can reach the castle in about 25 minutes. The romantic moated castle also has two golf courses.
Schwöbber Castle is now a hotel. It is also known as Münchhausen Castle, because around 1570 Hilmar von Münchenhausen started the construction of the magnificent estate. The castle is known for a magnificent plant collection and the orangery. You can admire tulip trees, alpine golden rain or glossy medlars and many other rare plants. The parkland in which Münchhausen Castle is located is also worth seeing.
