Bückeburg and back

Cycle along the Weser and through the Weserbergland from the hotel to Bückeburg.

Start strengthened after a rich breakfast in our restaurant or, if the weather is fine, on our terrace. The Weser cycle path is located directly at the hotel. You start on our Weser side in northern direction. The cycle path is a concrete ground and a relatively even route. You cycle about 15km of the route directly along the Weser.

Halfway between Hameln and Bückeburg you can make a detour to Schaumburg Castle and enjoy the beautiful view over the Weserbergland. There is an elevation to climb by bike. But the view compensates for it.

Arrived in Bückeburg, the castle Bückeburg with the princely court riding school offers an ideal relaxation for a few hours in which you can discover the history of the castle. Alternatively, the castle garden offers enough space for extensive walks. In the castle café you can get everything your heart desires from breakfast to lunch, coffee and cake.

On the way back from Bückeburg, treat yourself to a tour of Fischbeck Abbey with its beautiful abbey garden. In the immediate vicinity of Fischbeck Abbey you can stop for a bite to eat in the Café am Stift.

Alternatively, you can take the way back through Rinteln and explore the beautiful old town. On this way you drive back to the hotel on the other side of the Weser. On this route, however, you only drive along the Weser for about 10% of the way.

Back at the hotel you can end your eventful day with a nice bike tour with a cool draught beer in our beer garden or with a comfortable dinner in our restaurant.
